Who we are

MK Grains & Commodities DMCC (“MK”, “we”, “us”) is a DMCC company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We trade grains, oil seeds and vegetable oils. This policy covers the website at mkcommodities.com. We decide what happens to the details you send us through it.

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form on the contact page, we receive:

• your name and your company;
• your email address, and your phone number if you give one;
• the commodity you are interested in;
• your message;
• the fact that you ticked the consent box.

If you email or call us instead, we receive whatever you choose to tell us. Please do not send us sensitive personal data, such as health or religious details. We do not need it.

Like any website, ours is delivered by a web server. Our host, Cloudflare, sees your IP address, your browser type, the pages you request and the time of each request. It uses this to deliver the site and to protect it from attacks. We do not run analytics or advertising tools on this site.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own and does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies or pixels. That is why there is no cookie banner.

Two small things are worth knowing. First, when the home page opens with an animation, the site stores a flag called mk-intro in your browser’s session storage, so the animation does not play twice in one visit. It holds no personal data and is deleted when you close the tab. Second, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie in some cases, to tell people from automated traffic. It is not used for tracking or advertising.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and to deal with any business that follows from it. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.

We do not sell your details, and the form does not sign you up to any mailing list.

Who handles it, and where

• Web3Forms. When you send the form, a form service called Web3Forms receives the fields you entered and passes them to us by email. It acts for us and may process the data outside the UAE. If the form service is not available, the form opens your own email app with the enquiry filled in, and you send it from there. The message then travels through your email provider and ours.
• Cloudflare. Cloudflare hosts the site and delivers it through its network, which has data centres in many countries.
• Our email provider. Enquiries reach us as email, so they are stored with our business email provider.
• Authorities. We will share details if the law requires it.

The contact page has a link to Google Maps. If you follow it, Google’s own privacy policy applies on its site. We do not load anything from Google on our pages.

Some of these providers process data outside the UAE. We use them only for the purposes in this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any business that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time, see below.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries are kept in our business email account. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), and under other laws that may apply to you where you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you;
• correct it if it is wrong;
• delete it;
• restrict how we use it, or stop using it;
• withdraw a consent you gave.

Write to info@mkcommodities.com and say what you want. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.

Children

This website is for businesses. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy, for example if we add a tool to the site. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
